Hi Mikko,
yes, it is. But it?s complicated and twice expensive as the standard stripe. For polyester stock, the stripe is laminated on the film (with hot glue). I think, only some few labs are offering that service. Back in the 80ies, Mr Weberling had developed an industrial machine for that process wich worked very well, he showed it to me. Here in Germany I know only one lab which is doing the job, but they don?t deal with foreign customers.

Yes, single-8 is still available. From widescreen, and in Japan you can buy it from some photo stores(it's like super-8 in here). But I bought mine from photo store here in Finland and the process before date is 1993. If I find a better single-8 camera than Fujica P-2 (What I own now) I'll order more film from Widescreen.
(Does anyone know what single-8 camera allows me to rewind the whole roll and shoot it again?)

All Single8 cartridges can be rewound Mikko. Just go into a darkroom (or have your hands under your bed clothes) and rewind as much film as you like. I used to do this with Super8 cartridges, rewinding them till no more would rewind. I got 7 second multiple exposures this way, quite regularily.
